The University of Texas Arlington (UTA), The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth Houston), Texas State University (TXST), Texas Woman’s University (TWU), and The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW) are pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Texas Health Informatics Alliance Conference. This conference will bring together the Health Informatics community in Texas, provide an opportunity to share, collaborate, showcase the amazing work in Health Informatics, and feature presentations and keynote speakers from our state. This year, it will be hosted as an in-person conference on Friday, September 20, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. CST at The University of Texas Arlington in Arlington, Texas.

The motto for the Fourth Annual Texas Health Informatics Alliance Conference is “ALL IN: The Future is Here – Augmented Intelligence in Health Care”. We invite researchers, developers, health professionals, information management professionals, data and information scientists, and students to submit abstracts. While we anticipate that the focus will be on the topic listed below, we welcome contributions addressing other relevant topics or in the field of general Health Informatics.

Augmented intelligence, the fusion of human expertise with advanced computational capabilities, is reshaping the landscape of healthcare delivery, diagnosis, treatment, and patient outcomes. At THIA 2024, we will delve into the latest advancements, challenges, and ethical considerations surrounding the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), big data analytics, and robotics into healthcare. Join us for keynote, panel, and lightning talk presentations as well as interactive workshops as we navigate the intersection of technology and humanity that empowers healthcare professionals, enhances patient care, and ultimately transforms lives.
